Hair forms matrix upon which other materials hang up

Hair Clog
  • Hair collects in the plumbing.

  • Other materials such as soap residue, dirt, toe/finger nails, and anything else that washes off the bather clings to the hair mat.

  • Bacteria shelter in the hair mat, and eventually produce slime that protects themselves (and the hair) from chemical drain cleaners.

There are currently three methods of dealing with the problem:

  1. Chemical drain cleaners to dissolve the clog.

  2. Drain screens and enzymes to prevent the problem.

  3. Plumbers and "Plumber’s Snakes" to remove the problem.
