'Carbon footprint';
- The EverClear tub drain prevents the release of 29 tons of carbon dioxide for every 1 million units installed (based on calculations comparing the EverClear Drain with the use and transportation of chemical drain cleaners 4 times per year).
- The EverClear tub drain is primarily manufactured and assembled in the United States, preventing the carbon release associated with manufacture and assembly overseas:
- 100 percent of our assembly & distribution is done within 25 miles of the primary manufacturing site
- 70 percent of parts (by volume) & 50 percent of the parts (by number) are manufactured in the U.S.
- We do produce some parts in Taiwan because the only facility able to produce those parts under one roof locally, burnt down in 2007. We calculated the carbon footprint of producing those parts in China, and having them sent via ship to the assembly facility in Oregon, and found it was actually better for the environment than to source the parts elsewhere.

Septic & Plumbing;
- The EverClear Drain prevents the damage to septic systems and plumbing associated with chemical drain cleaners, which decreases the potential for environmental damage associated with accidental sewege release.
Recycling;
- Our packaging uses recycleable paper components, and is printed with soy based inks.
- Our packaging was designed to minimize use of plastic.
- With your support, we anticipate launching a packaging option that virtually elimnates use of plastics, and a product option that eliminates the use of chrome/brass plating (if you are among our first internet customers, you have the option of filling out a survey that may direct us to offer the noted packaging and finishing options).
